FAQ:

What is disruptive innovation?

A disruptive innovation creates a new (and unexpected) market by applying a different set of values. Disruptive innovations may retire or drastically alter the way an existing industry functions or operates.

What is revolutionary disruption?

Revolutionary disruption is an innovation model that creates one or more new markets in a radically new way. (i.e., the time travel mechanism used in the TV series Star Trek.) The Star Trek travel mechanism (beam me up, Scotty) would be considered a revolutionary disruption impacting the travel and airline industries because travel to far away lands could occur in seconds rather than hours; replacing the need for airplanes.

What is evolutionary disruption?

Evolutionary disruption is an innovation model that improves an existing market or creates one in a way that may be logically expected but have yet to be invented. (i.e., a new airplane engine that cuts air travel time in half; whereas current engines on the market can not).
